Welcome to Connections
Welcome to the Connections blog! If this is your first time here, take a look around to see what is offered on this blog. It is my intention to keep this updated with the latest topics we've talked about in our meetings and also have upcoming events. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts as you feel led. After we all get the hang of this, I hope this will continue on as a way to develop the relationships we are building through Connections.

Good Job!
Thanks for setting up this website for connections, Jennifer. The survey was a great idea for tonight. I'm looking forward to the next meeting
I enjoyed the Connections meeting last night. I wanted to make a few comments about spiritual gifts but my speech is very choppy because I have to wait on the vent to have air to talk. I didn't want to put you all through that. When I got home though, I realized I could use the blog (by the way, Jennifer, this blog is a great idea) I just wanted to share a few things that helped me when I first started looking at my spiritual gifts. I learned that the scripture teaches that every believer has at least one spiritual gift Rom 12:6-8;I Cor. 12: 11; I Peter 4:10. Spiritual gifts are not the same as natural talents, skills or personality traits. Spiritual gifts are given for the work of the church. I Cor. 12:7. For instance, you may be a good teacher but not have the spiritual gift of teaching or someone may have a beautiful voice and have the spiritual gift of exhortation. When they sing it's always a blessing beacuse they are exercising their spiritual gift through their natural gift of music. God equips His children to do His work through the church. When we try to do everything, we deprive someone else of their chance to use their spiritual gift. When we don't use our gift, the Body doesn't function properly.
Well, I've said enough. The best passages on Spiritual gifts are Romans 12, I Cor. 12, and I Peter 4. Thanks for letting me make my comments. Blessings, Monica
Monica, Thanks for posting your thoughts. Don't hold back! And if you want to talk in the meeting don't hold back! We can help.
Jennifer, great meeting. Looking forward to next month.
Gals, some of you know or met Dena at the meeting. She did not mention that her best friend passed away. The funeral is Friday so if she comes to mind please pray for her.
